How Morning Tally works
We connect to your phone system and the place your sales are recorded, read every call from the day before, match each one to orders and revenue, and email you one page each business-day morning.
Samples and orders open January 2027.
What we need from you
We need access to your phone system and access to wherever your sales are recorded. For most businesses that second one is an ERP, a CRM or the accounting software. We ask for read-only access wherever your systems allow it, and you can turn it off whenever you like. If a system doesn’t offer read-only access, a weekly export works instead.
We also need about 45 minutes of your time, once, on a call where we agree how your business counts a sale. For some companies a sale is an order line in the ERP. For others it’s a signed contract, a booked load or a deposit. We write that down along with what your customers go by, which accounts to leave out and who should get the report, and every report after follows it.
What happens overnight
After the phones close, Morning Tally pulls the day’s call log and the transcripts your phone system made. It reads every call from start to finish. Then it looks in your sales system for what happened after each call: an order, a quote, a reservation, an invoice or a load.
Calls are matched to customers by phone number first, then by customer name and account number. That way a quote a rep keyed in an hour after the call still lands on the right line, and a customer who called from a cell phone still gets credited to the right account.
Before the report goes out, every customer quote in it is checked against the transcript it came from, and the dollar totals are recalculated from your own systems. If a number can’t be tied back to a record you own, it stays out.
What arrives in the morning
One page by email every business-day morning, with a PDF copy for anyone who wants to print it or forward it. The daily page shows:
- revenue by rep against the day before, the same day last week and the same day last year
- calls taken, calls made and calls missed, and which missed calls nobody returned
- deals at risk, with the dollar amount and what the customer said
- the people worth calling first, ranked by what’s at stake, with the next step written out
- anything customers said on more than one call, like a product running short or a competitor’s price

Owners who want the longer view can add a Monday review, two or three pages written for the weekly sales meeting, or a monthly review that follows every call to revenue by lead source and by rep. You can open all of them on the sample reports page.
The first week
Samples and orders open in January 2027, and the first week will work like this. You send one week of call logs and order exports. Most phone systems and sales systems export both in a few clicks, and we send instructions for yours. Three business days later you get a sample report built from one real day of that week. The sample is free and yours to keep.
If you sign up, the daily page usually starts in the second or third week, once your systems are connected and the rules for your business are written down.

Who reads your calls
Software reads them. Nobody at Morning Tally listens to your calls unless you ask us to check a specific one. Your calls and records are never used to train AI models, transcripts are deleted within 90 days, and you hear from us within 72 hours of any confirmed breach. The security page has the details.
Common questions
Do we need to change phone systems?
No. Morning Tally works with the phone system you already have. If it records calls and makes transcripts, the report reads them. If it only keeps a call log, the report can still count calls, missed calls and callbacks and tie them to orders, but it can’t quote what customers said.
Does it replace our CRM or ERP?
No. Your CRM or ERP stays the record of what was sold. Morning Tally reads from it and never writes to it.
What if the report gets something wrong?
Tell us once. We change the rule behind it, and every report after follows the change.
Can every rep get the report?
Yes. You choose who gets it. Some owners keep it to leadership and some send it to every rep, because it tells each of them who to call first.
