Inside sales call reporting for manufacturers
Your inside sales team handles quotes, reorders, lead time questions and the occasional unhappy customer. Morning Tally reads those calls, ties them to quotes and orders in your ERP, and sends one page each morning.
Samples and orders open January 2027.
What the report covers
- quotes and orders by rep from your ERP, against the day before, last week and last year
- open quotes over a dollar amount you choose, with what the buyer said
- lead time and delivery questions, by customer and by product line
- requests for products, sizes or options you don’t offer yet
- regular accounts that haven’t called or ordered in longer than usual
Lead time questions
When buyers start asking about lead times, they’re usually deciding whether to wait or order somewhere else. The report counts lead time questions by product line and quotes what buyers said, so sales and operations are working from the same list.
Requests you can’t fill yet
Inside sales hears what customers want before anyone else does: a different size, a faster ship option, something a competitor just started selling. The monthly review collects every request that came up more than once, with the customers who asked, so it reaches the people who decide what to make.
Accounts going quiet
For a business built on reorders, a customer who stops calling is easy to miss. Because the report sees both the calls and the orders, it can flag a regular account that hasn’t called or ordered in longer than its usual gap, while there’s still time to find out why.
Sales calls only
Manufacturers often have customer service, engineering and sales on the same phone system. During setup we agree which lines and people count as sales, and the report leaves the rest out.
Common questions
Do you work with job shops or only product manufacturers?
Either. What matters is that customers call to get quotes or place orders, and the orders are recorded in an ERP or accounting system.
Can it work from our ERP’s exports?
Yes. If your ERP can export quotes and orders with a customer and an account or phone number, the report can use it. Acumatica, NetSuite and QuickBooks Online all can.
How is our data protected?
Read-only access where your systems allow it, nothing used to train AI models, and transcripts deleted within 90 days. The security page has the details.
