Sample sales call reports

Four sample reports for four kinds of business, built from invented companies and data. Each one opens as a PDF.

Samples and orders open January 2027.

Every company, person, phone number and figure in these samples is made up. The layout, the checks and the level of detail are what your own report would have.

Daily report for a plumbing distributor

Halverson Pipe & Supply has three inside sales reps. The daily page for Tuesday, October 27 shows $48,630 in orders, up $7,425 on Monday, with each rep compared against the day before, the same day last week and the same day last year. It lists $23,960 in revenue at risk across two accounts, in the customers’ own words, and flags two things heard on several calls that day: apartment owners asking for tankless heaters, and contractors looking for backflow repair kits the vendor won’t have until November 9.

Page two covers what shippers said on the phones, why 81 quotes didn’t turn into loads, the top lanes by margin and when inbound calls went unanswered. Page three lists the shippers at risk and what to do about each.

The brief is three phone-sized pages: $64,300 signed across five contracts, 18 inspections booked from 41 new-lead calls, booking rate by rep, where leads came from, and the missed calls to return first, starting with a voicemail about water coming into a kitchen.
